Pipework that
lasts
Old galvanised pipe furs up with rust from the inside; lead has no business carrying drinking water at all. We'll replace a whole system or just the stretch causing trouble — in a flat, a house, or the shared parts of an apartment building.

Hot and cold water
From the stopcock to the last tap. Including hot water circulation, so you are not running the tap for half a minute.
Waste pipes
Branch pipes, stacks and underground runs. We watch the falls — most repeat blockages come down to getting those wrong.
Risers in apartment buildings
Replaced column by column with the shortest possible shutdown. We agree the schedule with the building manager in advance.
Mains connections and meter chambers
Connecting a new build to the water main, fitting the meter, valves and non-return valves.
Appliance connections
Feeds for washing machines, dishwashers, fridges with ice makers. With an isolating valve, so the water can be shut off on the spot.
Water treatment
Softeners against limescale, mechanical filters for grit from the main. Worth doing before a new water heater goes in.

What we build
the system from
There's no single best material — it depends where the pipe runs, whether it will be seen and how long it needs to last. We recommend on that basis, not on what happens to be in the van.
- Plastic (PPR) — welded joints, no corrosion, sensible price. The standard for pipework in walls and floors. Needs more room in the chase and doesn't like long-term UV.
- Copper — soldered joints, long life, looks right left exposed in a plant room. Dearer, and it can't be combined with galvanised steel in the wrong order.
- Stainless, press-fit — joints are pressed cold, so there's no open flame in the building. Fast and clean, and the priciest of the three.
Every new system gets pressurised and left to stand before anything is closed up. Only once it holds does the chase get filled. You get the test record — useful when selling, and for insurance.
FAQ
About pipework
How long will we be without water?
When replacing pipework in a flat, the water is usually off for part of a day rather than the whole job. We'll tell you the timing in advance — and where a riser is involved and the shutdown affects a whole column of flats, we arrange it with the manager and the neighbours well ahead.
Does everything have to come off the walls?
Not always. Sometimes the pipe can take a new route through a ceiling void, a boxing or a stud wall, and the old one is simply capped off. It looks slightly less tidy, but nothing gets cut into the tiles. We'll always show you both options with prices.
Do you make good afterwards?
We fill and finish the chases. Tiling, flooring and painting we arrange separately — either with a tiler we work with, or you bring your own. It goes into the quote as its own line, so it's clear what is and isn't included.
